Nicholas C. Bosca: To capture these images a mix of poor unnatural lighting and set camera flash were used to highlight sharp lines a outer shadows. Along with that, the pitch black lighting in the room makes the flash of the camera more powerful.

My still life told the story about a piece of bread that dreamed of being toasted, and with the help of his friends, he achieved his goal. For my pictures I turned out the kitchen light and used a focused spotlight to get the desired lighting and I used wire to help keep the bread standing.

My thought process behind this was I wanted small figures to do something so I thought, why couldn't I just make them make a house or something. I found these around my house and I needed something small/"big" for the figures so cards was the reliable option. And this was how it came to be.
Megan Thompson Still Life
I took these pictures because I really have a passion for music. I have the headphones, so I can put them in and get away from the world and I have a drumstick that I caught at a concert which i go to a lot of concerts so it's a good memory.

Then you carve your pumpkin and you're done. The pumpkin on the right is my cousins and the pumpkin on the right is mine.
Still Life
I really like this still life because it draws your eye, the colors are bright compared to the background so it really pops. I also like how the fruit spells out "eat" in the last one, to try and make it more interesting.
Leaya Armstead: Still Life
The reason why I chose the setup I did, was because my favorite Disney movie is The Lion King, and one of my favorite songs in the movie is the Circle of Life. I believe I did a good job of explaining the concept in my own way, the hula-hoop is the circle, the doll is life, the cane represents African culture. The deer hanging on the wall represents death in the circle of life.
Evan Meheran's still life
The story is someone takes a shot and scores and ends up winning a trophy. This is my favorite still life because I think I did a better job with the lighting in this one over my other still life.

Trey Henry Still Life
I like this still life better because i think it is more creative and i think that it tells a funnier story. Also i think that the picture in the bottom left is cool. The yellowish apple of observing the things that are happening to the green apple. In the end the apple died.
Duncan Toale Still Life Project Still Life #1
This shows bowling pins knocked over by a bowling ball, and then the bowler gets mad that he missed two of them and throws a giant bowling ball, but only hits one of them. Mad that all of his friends are now dead, the last bowling pin takes out the bowler that offed his friends.

This was my favorite of the two Still Lives because I like the variety of lighting as well as the incorporation of many of the same objects in each picture. I also feel that the pictures are able to communicate their own stories even though the props are the same, which I enjoy.
Xhoana Nikolli - Still Life
I like this still life because of the earthy/fall colors. The boots are fabulous and reflect the light making them stand out and look shinny.

This picture ended up being my favorite because I really like the contrast between the color of the flower and the brown and tan colors everywhere else. I think it really emphasizes the brightness of the flower and delivers the message of unrequited love to viewers.

The lines have been slightly blurred on the largest image, as well as two smaller images edited on. The drastic background of the smaller pictures are more defined than the figure closer to the lens.
Photo Essay William Varney
This photo of my car is my favorite because I liked how the light showed up i the photo. And how it contrasted the water and shadows on the ground, also how the water droplets gave it a textured look.
Rachael Biro
I wanted to show a lapse of time with this photo so I took four photos and layered them together with the model in the center still and myself moving with each image. I used emphasis with my center model as she is clear and crisp while I am faded in the image. I also utilized space, a loose rule of thirds, and movement in this image.
Most meaningful photo to me
Jake Boltz
This was my favorite photo I took because with my quote about peace it looks like her shadow is acting as her, "soul or inner peace". You can see that it is a person but it is foucused not on her but the "inner" part of her. I also like the differenc if contrast between the bright background and the dark shadow.
Lizzie Zeek's Photo Essay
I took this photo because there was a lot to look at, your eyes constantly look back, and see even more than when you looked at it before. This photo has a cool tone, and it makes the whole image relaxing, and soft. This picture is also organic, and I blurred the outside to also add to the softness the cool tone already had.
photo essay (JayLon Johnson)
The reason I chose this photo is because I like how dark the buildings are compared to the sky. I also like the balance between the blue and the black, and how the sun is setting right in the center of the buildings.

These three photos combined show the changing of the color of leaves as the seasons change. There is texture shown in all of the pictures as well as line. The glassy appearance of the water and the roughness of the rocks in the background are the most obvious of the three. Line is seen in all of the leaves.
Things change, friends leave. And life doesn't stop for anybody.

I picked this picture because it show how it is organic. All I did to edit it was cropped the picture so you could focus more on the sunset and with the original picture you focus would go to the trees around not the sunset.

The reason i took this picture is because I thought the droplets of water look amazing on the leaf and stand out a lot. And the green weathered leaf goes well mixing with the clear droplets.
